I used the PVC tubing from my indoor spray paint booth to build a simple, downward-facing camera rig for making videos.
There are tons of tutorials on YouTube on how to build these, so this isn't a how-to. Look around and you'll get some ideas, if you want to make one of these.
The main thing is that the bolt needed is a 1/4-20 bolt. That is, 1/4 inch diameter, and 20 threads per inch. That should fit the tripod mount of most consumer cameras.
